Private yoga lessons aren’t just for celebrities.
I teach private yoga classes to clients who range from teenagers to those receiving AARP mailings to a few celebrities who are regular lovely people.
Whoever you are, I support you with customized lessons to help you move smarter and maximize your mobility, so you feel good, heal, and remain injury-free. Sessions happen online via Zoom or in-person (in the Pasadena area).
Private yoga instruction is ideal for you if:
You’re a busy professional or entrepreneur who doesn’t have the time or inclination to attend a public yoga class.
You’re a parent who is struggling to carve out restorative “me” time.
You are navigating an illness or recovering from a procedure. Yoga therapy offers gentle movement, intelligent strength building, and conscious rest to support your body's natural healing process.
You’re an amateur athlete who wants to enhance performance, prevent sports injuries, and decrease recovery time between trainings or events.
Your life feels anxious and stressful and you’re ready to slow down and integrate resiliency and a yoga mindset into how you approach personal or professional challenges.
You’re navigating a big transition (such as retirement, new career, relocation, loss of partner, or an “empty nest”) and desire to reconnect with yourself so the next life chapter feels on purpose.
You’re motivated to change habits that have weighed you down for far too long.
Let me help you turn even the most hectic home or busy office into a sacred space for yoga.
With me by your side, you’ll build a positive and nurturing relationship where real transformation can occur. I have deep knowledge of classical yoga, anatomy, and biomechanics which means private lessons are specifically designed for your needs—with appropriate modifications, sequences and poses to help bring your body into a state of optimal health and balance.
You DO have the space to do this. I can help you find that place of ease and calm.

“Gwen was very patient and calming as I slowly learned to listen to my breath, follow my instinct, and to go to my edge rather than beyond. Her approach is nothing like what I expected, and it has really turned into something highly unique to me and my personal needs on a session-by-session basis.
I’m now able to sit on the floor on my knees with no problem, and can easily get right back up.
Plus my wife says I now have a butt.”

“I used to be a fairly athletic guy, but life just got in the way after having a family. When I started yoga with Gwen, my knees were sore, I had an old shoulder injury, back & hip pain from years of commuting, and a general lack of flexibility or tone. I remember telling Gwen I just wanted to be able to sit on the floor, knees folded underneath me again.
I had attended one or two group yoga classes over the years and enjoyed the general feeling I had, yet it was never enough to get me to attend regularly. I'm pretty sure I told Gwen I wasn't in good enough shape to exercise regularly, and that was what prevented me from exercising regularly... we'd cemented our relationship with a laugh from the start.
I'll spare the narrative on the sweat, pain, and frustration that initially plagued my mental hurdles in trying this new thing. The old competitive, can-do-it-must-push-through was challenged from the start.

Our practice crosses the gamut from therapeutic, restorative work to a focus on me enjoying that athleticism I once thought I'd never regain. With the strengthening and coordination we've also been able to decrease pain and bring relief and balance to old injuries. Most of all, our sessions are fun because Gwen has a wicked sense of humor. But she stays focused on the session, and respects that personal focus time she knows is good for me. Very much the master, and I am eternally grateful.
And my wife says I now have a butt.”
