Private flexibility and movement classes for strong and supple joints, happy fascia, and improved core strength.

Private and Semi-Private yoga classes grounded in the science of healthy aging, mindfulness, and mobility. Led by Pasadena-based yoga teacher trainer and anatomy expert Gwen Yeager.

Proper form, consistency, and rest are keys to healing musculoskeletal injuries, managing chronic conditions, and fostering good mental health.

Whether you’re new to yoga or have been practicing on and off for years—I would love to help you move better, maintain your body, and enjoy your life without pain.

My customized classes prioritize the science of human physiology over performative acrobatics that often lead to intimidation or injury. To help you move smarter, you will practice some Pilates, mobility exercises (strength/flexibility), self-massage, and breath work. You also will relax into periods of mindful rest, which is crucial for recovery and overall health.

Yoga becomes part of your daily life when you move with more freedom, resiliency, and calm. It is a joy to help people live their lives more fully. The best time to start taking better care of your mind and body is now.

Hi, I’m Gwen…

Over the past decade, I’ve helped thousands of people develop and deepen their commitment to their wellbeing through private lessons. I also instructed in-demand yoga classes at Equinox and YogaWorks in the Los Angeles area.

I’ve trained hundreds of fitness professionals to provide greater benefit to their students and become more in-demand instructors (even in saturated markets) with expert anatomy and therapeutics modules that exceed the content requirements for Yoga Alliance-certified teacher trainings.

I’m passionate about helping people relieve pain, move better, and use the power of their breath to be present for joy.

My approach to teaching yoga is perhaps a bit different than what you’re used to. I believe yoga should be relaxed and practical. I use down-to-earth words to clearly cue sequences and provide excellent form because body alignment is one key to getting great results. You might learn some anatomical terms, too, so you have more information about how the incredible body you inhabit works. Knowledge is power.

I help motivated people create a stronger relationship with their bodies so they can live more vibrantly at any age.

  • Breath practices

  • Core strength

  • Fascia and joint health

  • Range of motion

  • Sitting for our work is not the body’s preferred state. If you suffer from a stiff neck or unyielding back pain, small lifestyle tweaks and the right yoga practice can help alleviate tightness and pain often when nothing else has worked.

  • When you’ve received a challenging diagnosis, yoga and breath work can help relieve your stress and calm your mind. Additionally, a thoughtful yoga program can complement your medical protocol by helping you move your body in ways that are safe and feel really good.

I regularly collaborate with medical professionals to ensure their patients (who are my students) get the right yoga guidance to support their recovery plan. Yoga can help you lessen anxiety, deal with intense emotions, decrease pain, and strengthen your immune system and body (through breathwork, movement, and meditation).

I’m a cancer survivor, and I’ve worked with patients with breast, colon, and blood cancers. I have other students who experienced accidents that left them partially paralyzed, and others managing degenerative conditions like MS and Parkinson’s. While each condition varies, there are common threads we must manage, including grey-area decision making and many unknowns. It is my honor to help people with these transitions, feel what they are feeling, and also be available for joy.

  • Over the past fifteen years, I’ve helped people supplement their recovery plans by providing yoga support for:

Anxiety, depression, eating disorders, chronic pain, scoliosis, sports injuries, musculoskeletal disease, piriformis syndrome, back pain, neck pain, chronic pain, frozen shoulder, rotator cuff injury, sacroiliac instability, pelvic floor conditions, prostate conditions, challenging symptoms of menopause, spinal cord injuries, neuromuscular disease, cancer, ADD, abuse and trauma, asthma, and more.

  • If life’s detours have sideswiped your self-care efforts, my yoga classes can help. Whether you're embarking upon a meaningful wellness journey for the first or hundredth time, my lessons will help you take the tender steps toward reconnecting with yourself again. You'll enjoy thoughtful movement that prioritizes sustained momentum toward your health and wellness goals.

  • There is no better time to be gentle and tuned into your body’s wisdom than pre and post-delivery. Yoga can help your nervous system relax into the profound changes you’re experiencing. It can help your body maintain strength, flexibility, and mobility. You’ll never regret taking gorgeous care of your amazing body—especially when you’re nurturing another human into being.

  • Teachers, front-line workers, medical professionals, executives, work-from-home parents, self-employed entrepreneurs—Covid combined with career stress can make life feel extremely overwhelming. Yoga can help. Learn how to slow down and connect to your breath and heart so you can feel confident, present, calm, and non-reactive regardless of your career or life challenges.

Your yoga practice can be a compass for daily life—encouraging you to drop your heavy armor and show up in life with more authenticity and confidence. Your daily practice can facilitate compassion and kindness for yourself and others—making you a magnet for opportunities. A regular yoga practice can encourage healthy personal boundaries, creativity, patience, and a meaningful connection with the flow of life even when (especially when) challenges arise.

  • If you’re a weekend warrior or athlete, I cannot stress enough how crucial it is that you prioritize aligned anatomical form in everything you do. Over my many years of working with amateur athletes, I’ve helped correct poor running form, misalignment when lifting, core support needed for tennis and golf swings, and all manner of skeletal and muscular issues that can increase your odds of injury.

How much calmer, happier, and more aligned could you feel if you naturally moved and breathed in ways that were good for you?

Practice privately with me to decrease pain, age well, and create life balance.

Yoga was designed to be taught 1:1. The customized practice we do is both PREVENTATIVE and REHABILITATIVE.

  • Move the way your body was designed to move.

  • Intelligent practices that create less pain or entirely eliminate it, setting you up for a lifetime of great movement.

Develop healthy fascia (connective tissues) so you regain or retain agility and enjoy all the movements you love.

  • Slow down, be mindful, and go inward. Learn detachment, and have less anxiety.

  • Healthy breathing is the gateway to the nervous system, and crucial component to many body systems, including pelvic floor health. This is a focus.

  • Learn powerful tools to manage suffering, and be present for joy.
